| Event Description: | Divulgação de Atividade Na sequência das Comemorações da Semana Mundial do Espaço instituída pela Assembleia Geral das Nações Unidas em 1999 (https://www.worldspaceweek.org/about), o Observatório do Ambiente dos Açores - Centro de Ciência de Angra do Heroísmo realizará uma atividade de observação astronómica no próximo dia 8 de outubro. O local de observação será o Miradouro das Veredas na Terra-Chã. O horário da atividade será das 20h30 às 22h30. | Report on the Results: | Participants were composed by 3 children 6-12 years old and 8 adults. Two telescopes, 1 pair of binoculars and a laser beam were used. We observed Saturn, Jupiter an 4 of its moons, Venus and a glimpse of the Moon at arrival. Later we saw the ring nebula, Andromeda galaxy and the Hercules star cluster. Event lasted aprox. 2h30mins. |
