| Event Name: | Palestra: Dark Energy Survey results - what is the best model for our Universe? |
| Event Description: | 14 de outubro - quinta-feira - 16h The Dark Energy Survey (DES) is the largest imaging survey of galaxies to-date. In this talk I’ll describe the recent cosmological results obtained by the analysis of three years of data with more than 100 million galaxies collected by the DES collaboration. In particular, I'll concentrate on the modelling and analysis of data from galaxy clustering, weak gravitational lensing and the determination of the baryon acoustic oscillation feature. Sobre o palestrante: Rogério Rosenfeld é docente pesquisador no Instituto de Física Teórica UNESP, trabalhando em cosmologia e partículas elementares. Ele obteve seu bacharelado no IFUSP em 1982 e seu doutorado em Física pela University of Chicago em 1990. É membro ativo da colaboração Dark Energy Survey (DES), e recentemente foi presidente da Sociedade Brasileira de Física. |
