| Event Description: | We are cramming a whole week of celebration into one fantastic day. Workshops, talks, special guests and an evening of star gazing that all the family can enjoy. The National Space Centre is opening late to help stuff a day full of exciting activities for World Space Week. On Saturday 4th October we are open from 10am - 9pm. During the day we have exciting hands on activities as well as guest lectures covering the basics of GPS satellites all the way to how they will affect us over the course of the day. All of this is topped off with an evening of stargazing with a little bit of help from the Leicester Astronomical Society. Come along for a fun filled day and learn all about GPS technology. |
