Event Description: | This month we have a special Space Cafe, timed to coincide with World Space Week. UN-declared World Space Week takes place annually from October 4-10. This year's World Space Week theme is "Space: Guiding Your Way." This month's Space Cafe is a registered World Space Week event and posters will be available to the first 25 attendees. This month’s speaker will be James J. Miller, Deputy Director of Policy & Strategic Communications for NASA's Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) Program, who will speak on the topic “GPS for Space Users:NASA's Role in Enhancing Positioning, Navigation, and Timing”. The Space Cafes begin at 7pm and are hosted by the Science Club, located at 1136 19th Street, NW, Washington, DC on the second floor: http://www.ScienceClubDC.com/. |
