| Event Name: | Global Space Challenge (Year 7&8) |
| Event Description: | We are looking for 32 young space explorers in years 7 & 8 to participate in the Global Space Challenge, sponsored by iLAuNCH and hosted by One Giant Leap Australia Foundation this October. As in previous years, the 2024 competition will be a global, virtual event with students learning new skills through virtual simulations with the aim to design a mission to another planet within our solar system. Daily mission training includes a one-hour live tutorial with an industry expert on the days topic. Program creator and former NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration astronaut, Dr Gregory Chamitoff, along with other distinguished space professionals, will engage with students throughout the week, delivering expert insights on rockets, space exploration and the future of space exploration.
