| Event Description: | We are very excited to bring you an amazing weekend of innovation and problem-solving at the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2024 in Caldwell, for the very first time! Organized by the Caldwell Astronomy Club along with Caldwell University, this event is part of the largest annual global hackathon. The NASA Space Apps Challenge is a 48-hour hackathon that brings together coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, artists, makers, and space enthusiasts from around the world. During the Space Apps Challenge, participants form teams to tackle challenges designed by NASA experts. These challenges can range from software development and astrophysics to storytelling and artistic visualizations. Teams utilize NASA's open data and resources to create innovative solutions to real-world problems. All ages, skill levels, and professional backgrounds are welcome! You do not need a STEM background, as challenges can also test your artistic skills and business acumen. |
