| Event Description: | As part of World Space Week 2024, we are delighted to invite your students to the University of South Wales for this one-off event. Date: Thursday 10th October Time: 10am – 2pm Location: Treforest campus, Pontypridd Join fellow space enthusiasts for a day of discovery and exploration. Featuring in-depth discussions on the latest in space science, immersive experiences, and a chance to meet experts in the field. Discover how STEM subjects relate to a range of careers in the space industry! Confirmed speakers: • Annelies Look - Deputy CEO and Chief Delivery Officer UK Space Agency (UKSA) • Dr David Parker – European Space Agency (ESA) - Former ESA Space Exploration Director and former UK Space Agency Chief Executive • Flt Lt Jason Greenwood – UK Space Command • Professor Damian Bailey – USW, member of the Human Spaceflight and Exploration Science Advisory Committee at ESA and member of the Space Exploration Advisory Committees to the UK and Swedish Space Agencies • Jill Hutchinson and Simon Wheeler – Thales Alenia Space (TAS) Suitable for students in year 12/13 or equivalent, with an interest is STEM subjects and space.
