Event Name:  The interaction between life and climate change The contribution of space science
Event Description:  The current climate crisis calls for ever closer interaction between those working in the space sector and the global scientific community concerned with climate and the “Earth system”. In general, the challenge is to understand with increasing precision the interactions between climate, resources and living conditions at local and global scales, with special attention to the problems of the most depressed areas exposed to extreme weather events. The IILA initiative aims to focus on these issues by exploring the ways in which the space sector is contributing to increasingly sophisticated studies of the Earth system. Man has gone into space, but the Earth remains our primary and vital home, which must be protected. However, the Earth is being saved by space and we must all be aware of this.
