Report on the Results: | We created an exciting “Venus” environment in our classroom. We used red and orange construction paper and fabric to represent the lava, and placed pillows and mats as safe spots. We started with a brief story about Venus and its volcanoes, explaining that the children needed to use their astro-agility and spatial awareness to navigate safely. The room was filled with various obstacles like chairs, tables, and cones, and the goal was for the children to move from one side of the room to the other without touching the “lava.” The rules were simple: they could only step on the safe spots, had to move carefully, and think about their next step. It was wonderful to see them helping each other whenever someone got stuck. After the activity, we gathered the children and discussed what they learned. We asked questions like how they decided where to step next, if they helped a friend, and what the most challenging part was. It was a fantastic experience that not only made learning about Venus fun but also helped develop their motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork. |
