Event Description:  Connect with two NASA Solar System Ambassadors Dr. Aidyl Gonzalez-Serricchio and Anthony Galdamez will share the insights of being an analog astronaut, and share the experience of working and living in off-world like conditions. In celebration of World Space Week we will take a closer look at Lunar and Martian Regolith simulants in comparison to our soil here on earth. The Omaha Astronomical Society will conduct a series of hands-on activities and present on celestial events. We are centered around STEM education, environmental, microbiology and astrobiology, exploring the thought of microbial life around the universe. Our family programming with hands-on activities that explore center of gravity, Lunar and Martian habitat design concepts. Identifying various concepts needed to live and grow in comparison to our communities. Also on display, the multi-sensory exhibition: Experience the Cosmos: The James Webb Space Telescope.
