Event Description: | Join us for a special event titled "Exploring Climate Change through Space Science and Technology," part of World Space Week 2024, organized by the United Nations in collaboration with the World Space Week Association (WSWA) from October 4 to 10. This event is hosted by The Egyptian Physics Network in partnership with Pan-African Citizen Science e-Lab 2.0. World Space Week commemorates significant milestones in space exploration, including: October 4, 1957: The launch of Sputnik 1, the first human-made satellite, which opened the door to space exploration. October 10, 1967: The signing of the treaty on principles governing the activities of states in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes. During this event, we will feature two distinguished lectures: Lecture 1: "Global Warming and its Effect on Rivers’ Waste Load Allocation Plan: Mathematical Modeling and Space-Based Technology" Presented by: Prof. Dr. Sherin Elbaradi, Associate Professor in the Civil Engineering Program at the German University in Cairo, Founder and Program Director of the Sustainable Environmental Postgraduate Diploma.
