Event Name:	SPACE WEEK
Event Description:	Space the final frontier could be our guiding sentence to describe the enterprising mission that our institution, Colegiul Tehnic ,,Mihai Bacescu from Falticeni (Romania) promoted during Space Week this year. Just like Star Trek television series used to charm the viewers with its irresistible space adventure, we boldly attempted - both teachers and students to bring our contribution to this important worldwide event. From October 4 to October 10 World Space Week was established by the United Nations General Assembly to celebrate each year the contributions of space science and technology to the development of human condition. Physics teachers Mrs. Mihaela Jarcau, Mrs. Stama Aurica, Mrs. Chirila Silvia and Mrs. Marilena Mos in collaboration with Geography teacher Mrs. Magda Grigoras, IT engineer Mrs. Alida Ilie and English teacher Mrs. Simona Truscan held an exciting programme on space with different activities on Thursday, October 9. The main objective was to celebrate the importance of this week as well as to remind the nations that using the outer space should have peaceful purposes only. Together with the coordinating teachers, enthusiastic and highly motivated students helped in realizing and organizing the activities below:  Drawings and paintings exhibition under the theme Space Seen Through the Eyes of Children;  Are We Alone in Space? - models made from recycling materials;  Seminar where students presented a Power Point documentary and writings on space birth and its structure. It was a generally inspiring programme where teachers, students and other guests shared space-related knowledge through creative, captivating works. Coordinator prof. Mihaela Jarcau
