(Houston, Texas – August 15, 2024) World Space Week is thrilled to announce the STEM Educators for Climate Awards, an initiative that will spotlight the contributions of 25 global educators who are making impact in the field of climate change.
Aligned with this year’s theme, “Space and Climate Change,” these awards aim to recognize and celebrate the dedication, innovation, and influence of educators who are driving positive change in STEM education. By highlighting their work, we hope to inspire others to engage in STEM fields and contribute to solutions for global challenges.

The largest space event on Earth, UN-declared World Space Week is celebrated from October 4-10 each year. It is an international event dedicated to showcasing how space science and technology contribute to the improvement of human life. World Space Week features numerous space-related activities organized by space agencies, aerospace companies, schools, planetariums, museums, and astronomy clubs, all synchronized to maximize public and educational impact.
