(Houston, Texas – August 5, 2024) World Space Week Association (WSWA) is excited to announce the official poster for World Space Week (WSW) 2024, with the theme Space & Climate Change.
World Space Week, declared by the United Nations and celebrated annually from October 4-10, brings together thousands of organizations and individuals globally to celebrate the contributions and advancements in space exploration. Last year, WSW saw unprecedented engagement with over 16,000 events held across 83 countries.
“WSW 2024 poster highlights the essential connection between space exploration and climate change,” said Alma Okpalefe, WSWA Executive Director. “The artwork captures how space technology is integral to monitoring and addressing the impacts of climate change, reinforcing that space is essential for a sustainable Earth. We are excited to share this positive message and inspire people worldwide to recognize the importance of space in protecting our planet.”
The poster will be physically distributed globally to national coordinators, sponsors, and partners. Additionally, it is available for digital download, allowing everyone to customize and use it for their World Space Week events.
