| Event Name: | “Visionary Scientists: Energy, Responsibility and the Future” |
| Event Description: | On October 7th 14.30 pm, at the laboratories of IIS “Ciampini-Boccardo” in Novi Ligure, students will meet Dr. Sabrina Presto, senior researcher at CNR-ICMATE in Genoa. Her research focuses on materials and electrochemical processes for clean energy, such as solid oxide fuel cells and the production of green hydrogen. She will guide students through an interactive activity, showing how science can address today’s global challenges by linking innovation, sustainability, and responsibility. Dr. Presto will also present her book “Scienziate Visionarie” (Visionary Scientists), where she shares the stories of women who have changed science and society, such as Rachel Carson, Donella Meadows, Wangari Maathai and Katsuko Saruhashi. The event will highlight that science is not only about technology, but also about values, choices, and courage, inspiring new generations to imagine a fairer and more sustainable future. |
