| Event Name: | Observing the Sun Through a Telescope |
| Event Description: | It offers students and visitors the opportunity to safely observe our closest star. For this purpose, a telescope equipped with special solar filters is used to protect the eyes from harmful radiation. During the observation, sunspots can be seen—cooler, darker areas on the Sun’s surface. Under favorable conditions, prominences can also be observed—huge arcs of gas rising above the Sun's surface. Through this activity, participants learn about the structure of the Sun and its influence on Earth. The instructor explains the connection between solar activity and phenomena such as the aurora borealis or geomagnetic storms. The activity sparks curiosity and raises awareness about the importance of the Sun for both climate and energy. Students have the opportunity to ask questions and share their impressions with an expert. In the end, this activity leaves a strong impression, as it connects scientific knowledge with the direct personal experience of observing a celestial body. |
