Event Name:  World Space Week - Space and Sustainability 2022
Event Description:  October 04 2022, Day 01 (Time: 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m.) First one to start with was a space literacy quiz competition regarding various Space activities and their progress through the years in the field of space exploration, rocket science and space sustainability. It was all administered using the online portal Kahoot which makes this a paper free activity, a step towards sustainable environment. Students at Isra Foundation Schools from grade 6 to 11 participated in this quiz competition comprising of two rounds. It was a fantabulous experience overall. October 05 2022, Day 02 (Time: 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m.) Space and Sustainability Research: Humans cannot progress until they are engaged in what they were created for. And this engagement alone makes students at IFS stand out in their quest for learning. IFS Middle and O level students went on exploration research to find how space technologies such as satellites using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are breaking the boundaries of solutions to a sustainable Earth. October 06 2022, Day 03 (Time: 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m.) To start with celebration of Day 03, students were on a task to make posters in two categories. Category 1 Good Bye Pluto: We were assigned to find out more about Pluto decision. Why was it demoted to a dwarf planet? Category 2 One ticket to Space Please: We created a magazine ad promoting the flights to space. Finally, after all the research, team work and coordination we were able to pull up our posters in time. Students and faculty members were asked to vote for the best poster in both categories. It was great to see students casting their votes for their favorite posters with zeal and enthusiasm. October 07 2022, Day 04 (Time: 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m.) The activity planned on day 04 was kind of full of surprises for all the students They were all given some thrilling crosswords, jumbled words and riddles divided in 3 levels of difficulty. What an action-packed activity it was one level after another with every second passing by. It was a great experience for students to explore and learn space vocabulary independently, improving our reading comprehension and language development. October 10 2022, Day 05 (Time: 12:00p.m. to 01:15p.m.) Students all teamed up in different groups and presented some innovative ideas to a sustainable space. They worked on different projects like space without debris, Eco friendly rockets, Solar satellites, eco-friendly space suits and much more. The day was culminated with some very interactive presentations and results from the last 4 days, followed by a award ceremony. To some it all up it was a life time experience of knowing about the world right outside our Earth the Space
