Astronauts, just like you, have a daily schedule—they exercise, work, and rest, but… in completely different conditions than on Earth. During World Space Week at Hevelianum, we’ll show you what everyday life looks like on the International Space Station. You’ll see how astronauts sleep in zero gravity, what they eat, and whether it’s possible to take a shower in space. You’ll also learn how future astronauts prepare for missions and conduct experiments yourself to understand how physics works in space. A cosmic adventure awaits you—join us and discover what life beyond Earth is like! • Target audience: Grades 1-8 of primary school (LEVEL 1: Grades 1-3; LEVEL 2: Grades 4-8) II. Maneuvering in Space – Space Debris and How to Prevent It from Destroying Our Satellites Think driving a car in the city is challenging? Try parking in space! Imagine sitting in a crew capsule and needing to precisely reach the International Space Station. There are no brakes, no traffic lights, or road signs—just physics, precision, and millimeters to work with. During World Space Week at Hevelianum, you’ll take part in a simulation of maneuvering in space. Join a meeting with Boeing engineers to learn more about the physics of space maneuvering and how astronauts and engineers tackle the issue of space debris.
