| Event Description: | Organized by the “Spazio alla Conoscenza” team of IIS “Ciampini-Boccardo” in Novi Ligure. The International Space Week opens with a distinguished guest: cosmonaut Walter Villadei, pilot of the Axiom Mission 3, who spent 21 days aboard the International Space Station with the Dragon capsule. During the event, Villadei will share with students his training experience with the new NASA spacesuits designed for the Artemis program, which aims to return humankind to the Moon. He will also highlight the significant contribution of Made in Italy to space exploration, from the habitat modules built in Turin by Thales Alenia Space to Italian-developed space food. The meeting will be enriched by the exhibition of the Centro Modellistico Torinese (C.M.T.), showcasing iconic models from the history and future of space missions: from the Space Shuttle and the ISS to the ExoMars rover and the Falcon 9 launcher. This inaugural event brings together science, technology, and passion, officially opening a week of meetings and workshops dedicated to space and the new generations. |
