SPIRE GLOBAL CEO PETER PLATZER NAMED HONORARY CHAIR FOR WORLD SPACE WEEK 2024 FOCUSING ON SPACE AND CLIMATE CHANGE

Houston (April 11, 2024) – World Space Week Association announced the appointment of Peter Platzer, CEO of Spire Global, as the Honorary Chair of World Space Week (WSW) 2024, emphasizing this year’s theme, “Space & Climate Change.” World Space Week, the largest space event on Earth, celebrates the contributions of space science and technology in advancing our understanding and management of climate change, and takes place annually October 4-10.

Peter Platzer’s role in amplifying global engagement for WSW 2024 highlights his leadership within the space industry, as recognized by the World Space Week Association.
