World Space Week Association Poster Concept Open Call

World Space Week (WSW) is an international celebration of science and technology, and their contribution to the betterment of the human condition. The United Nations General Assembly declared in 1999 that World Space Week will be held each year from October 4-10.

World Space Week is coordinated by the United Nations with the support of World Space Week Association (WSWA). WSWA leads a global team of National Coordinators, who promote the celebration of World Space Week within their own countries.

Every year WSWA chooses a topic through which World Space Week is celebrated globally. This year the theme is, “Space and Entrepreneurship.” Space and entrepreneurship are inextricably linked as the continued growth of the commercial space industry drives innovation and progress. In celebration of World Space Week 2023, we invite you to submit a poster concept that illustrates the connection between these two important fields.

Leverage your artistic talents to convey your vision of the future of Space and Entrepreneurship!

The selected participant will receive publicity across the global space community:

  • The winner’s name and link will be on the poster which will be distributed, both in print and electronically, to over 4,000 World Space Week Association event organizers.

  • The poster will also be seen by global space leaders, such as at the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UN-COPUOS), International Astronautical Congress, and other venues.

Please note that there will be no compensation paid to the winning artist.
