| Event Description: | Space expert Jerry Stone leads a day of exciting space activities. In "Space Is Big!", pupils will use inflatable planets to explore the solar system and discover the true distance to the Moon. "Build The Space Station" involves pupils building a large model of the International Space Station - using toilet rolls, pizza trays, lollipop sticks, barbecue skewers and kitchen foil. The model includes a Dragon spacecraft docked to the structure as well as Bigelow's BEAM module! Pupils will also have a Space Q&A session during the lunch break, and at the end of the day there will be demonstration air rocket launches! |
