| Event Description: | A model making competition is arranged for the students of primary, middle and secondary schools in both public and private sector. Students from colleges also participated in the event. The topics for the events are 'Mysteries of the Cosmos' and how the space technology can be employed to help the Earth. | Report on the Results: | There was a lot of enthusiasm and hype among the students for this event. Students displayed the models on the topics given and they were innovatively perceived, skillfully designed and beautifully presented. A paper-plane flying competition was also organized in which the students were encouraged to come up with new and innovative designs of air planes. There were quite a lot of participants for this competition; not only from schools and colleges but also from the general public who were attending the function. The plane who won the battle managed to stay in the air for 46 long feet. The top 3 of this competitions were given prizes. |
