| Event Description: | Grade 1 and 2. Each fall, I do circus with my students. We use Cirque de Soleil music and do various activities. I will call it Astronaut Training this year. I will also add obstacle courses. |

| Report on the Results: | Astronaut Training. Using Cirque de Soleil music and circus activities, the boys and girls learned the importance of being "fit for space" and working independently and collectively. As they improved their individual skills, they began to work with each other helping themselves and their partners. Through the process they became experts and learned the importance of working together to find solutions to problems and honing their skills. They learned what astronauts have to do in order to survive in space. The future young astronauts loved it. |
