Report on the Results:  National Space Agency of Malaysia (ANGKASA) has successfully organized World Space Week Program in middle Malaysia from 4 to 10 October 2012. This World Space Week Program is opened to public. The program hopes that it could raise public interest in the field of space science. During the week, all visitors at National Planetarium will have chance to visit small exhibition on space for human safety and security. Activities such as WSW Sun Observation, WSW Food Deco, WSW Magic Board Creative and WSW Treasure Hunt also held at National Planetarium on 6 October 2012. Approximately 2500 people attended. National Space Agency of Malaysia also cooperated with Radio Kuala Lumpur FM have on air quizzes on space science and technology to all viewers during the world space week. All winners were given tokens by ANGKASA. In eastern Malaysia, an NGO called Puskal-Sabah held a public awareness event that included sky observation, video screening, making astronomy video documentary competition, talk on space science in daily life. The activities were opened to primary and secondary school students and public from 9 districts in eastern Malaysia. About 931 people participated in this program. The program has receive a good response from public in Malaysia and it will be held again in future to create public’s interest and involvement in the field of space science and understand the importance of space science in helping the nation socioeconomic development.
