| Event Name: | Exchanging Lessons Learned: Diversity and Equality in Space |
| Event Description: | As part of the World Space Week's "Women in Science", the SGAC Team from the Philippines plans to organize a one-day event highlighting lessons learned about the values of diversity and equality from various parts of the world. In coordination with the SGAC’s Our Giant Leap, speakers from various parts of the world will be discussing the different challenges, factors, and issues that hinder such values. They will also be sharing the various practices, ideas, and interventions to promote such values. We wanted to highlight "the Philippines unique culture” of valuing women and promoting female leadership, which is unlike other countries and cultures. The event will be composed of five speakers and is open to everyone. This event will also be a lens for the international community on Filipino culture to encourage the values of diversity and equality. |
