A Global Perspective on Funding for Aerospace Startup Founders
Event Description:
Event will be on October 9, 2023, from 3-5pm NZST.
The New Zealand space industry is in its nascent stage but already has a number of potential disruptive technology startups poised for success in the global space market. Funding is still a major challenge coupled with differences in cultural entrepreneurship norms and biases when it comes to raising funding for ventures that are set up for global growth.
This interactive session starts with a Funding 101 presentation from Mark Bregman, global investor and founder of Quidnet Ventures. He will talk about fundraising from a global perspective and what kiwi space founders should expect to break into raising capital beyond NZ. Followed by a discussion on pitfalls and needs in the current NZ space ecosystem from participants. We will be inviting other investors from other regions who have recently made NZ their base.
This event is invite only due to space limitations and focus on space startups. However, the event will be recorded for streaming at a later date. For inquiries, send email to info@spacebase.co
