| Event Description: | To celebrate World Astronomy day on Oct. 4, MOSI will partner with WEDU/PBS to present Space Racers , the newest animated series for preschoolers. Go on a journey with MOSI and Eagle as we tap into children’s curiosity in S.T.E.A.M. learning. Later in the evening, take part in Skywatch, a free event; see the stars, gaze at galaxies and try to find the man in the moon. Ask our astronomy experts your space questions and take advantage of our high-powered telescopes. Join MOSI throughout the week for space related events and activities. Enjoy daily planetarium shows in The Saunders Planetarium and Hidden Universe in the Florida Hospital IMAX DOME Theatre. Travel to the moon on a space transport to help operate a lunar colony in Mission: Moonbase and participate in emergency simulations to feel like a real astronaut. Get hands-on learning in Idea Zone, where guests can engineer rockets and learn more about off-world robotics. Finally, enjoy MOSI’s S.T.E.A.M.punks as they blast off into space-themed shows. All of these events are free with MOSI general admission and always free for MOSI members. |
