Event Name:	2008 World Space Week Celebration Part 11
Event Description:	The following were the activities conducted on October 10, 2008 which the PAGASA hosted as venue and organized by the Science Education Institute. 1) Planetarium lecture-show was given by the PAGASA staff to high school students and science teachers. 2) The Lecture Series on Astronomy focused on two major topics a)What is a Planet? (amd other Astronomy Updates); and b)International Year of Astronomy. The Lecture Series was conducted to feature the celebration of the International Year of Astronomy in 2009. 3) The Awarding and Closing Ceremonies was held to award the winners in the Water Rocket Competition and to formally close the celebration of the 2008 World Space Week in the Philippines.

Report on the Results:	The Lecture Series on Astronomy was covered by GMA-7 TV Network and was broadcasted in their prime time news program. A writer-reporter from one of the major daily newspapers also attended the event and held an interview with the resource person from PAGASA, the organizer for the IYA celebration in the Philippines. The activities were participated by high school students and science teachers from the public and private high schools in Metro Manila.
