| Event Description: | Boy Scout Troop 229 will host a rocket launch and competition at the Model Airplane Field in Winamac, IN. The finals of the competition include a scout meeting on October 4 and the launch (open to the public) on October 10. All scouts will be registered with NASA JPL to have their names sent to Mars on the Mars Science Laboratory, and prizes will be awarded. Scouts will also attend a seminar on LRO/LCROSS. |
