| Event Description: | A- To create flyers to sell the idea to go live in different planets, according to their characteristics. 9 Groups of 4 and 1 group of 5 students will: 1- Investigate facts about their planet: location within the galaxy, surface feature, size, movement, type of orbit, and other important facts. (Class work) 2- Prepare flyers inviting people to live in their planet in the future, justifying their choice. 3- Simulate the space by placing themselves as if they were the planets (Students are to draw their orbit on the floor, to move accordingly, and place themselves properly in relation to the Sun and the other planets) B Watch a video about destruction and formation of stars. It is a 45 minutes DVD C- Integrate technology to science content by accessing: mytinyplanet.com, where students can visualize and control imaginary planets exploration. |
