| Report on the Results: | Well attended event. It corresponds indeed to the year's opening for both the school kids and the University students (Delayed a bit to get things settled down a bit knowing the difficulties of the start of the both the School year and the academic year). Many activities for the kids, a great astronomy exhibit primed nationally and a great set of public lectures focused on recent scientific events, the discovery of the gravitational waves (Nobel prize of physics this year...), the fiery end of the Cassini mission ... The media coverage was terrific. We had articles written about the event written in various leading newspapers and a radio coverage with the Constantine Radio station. A fuller coverage was done at the "Oasis of Science" radio show where a full show was devoted discussing the event. |
