| Event Name: | Opening Ceremony of World Space Week in Ukraine |
| Event Description: | The WSW Opening Ceremony will take place on October 4, 2017 at 2 p.m in Zhitomir, Ukraine. It will be dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Sputnik1. The guests will hear about events organized in Ukraine during WSW and the Best Event Competition dedicated to WSW. Some participants of the events will make their presentations. The ceremony will end with a Space Quiz for children |

| Report on the Results: | The WSW opening ceremony was a major event giving the start to all WSW events in Ukraine. Being the National Coordinator the S.Korolev Space Museum did its best to encourage celebrations in different regions of Ukraine. During the ceremony, a video with greetings from WSW heads in charge, including fragments dedicated to WSW events in different regions of Ukraine was demonstrated. We had a video bridge with our partners in Lithuania. The ceremony culminated with a Space Quiz.The information about WSW was spread via mass media and social networks. |
