| Event Description: | This year we are once again excited about the participation in the international project celebrating space- World Space Week. The topic School Gheorghe Titeica has chosen is: WHERE NEXT...? as our students are going to explore space by means of both documentaries and scientific information, that will be used to make projects and presentations, and also creativity- imagining new planets and stars they will travel to and get to discover. The final products will include posters, compositions, cartoons, models made of various materials and a parade of all their `discoveries`. |

| Report on the Results: | The international project ”WORLD SPACE WEEK” founded by the United Nations in 1999, was celebrated this year between October 4th and 10th and in School ”Gheorghe Țițeica” it had the eighth edition, the first one being in 2009. The topic this year was set as a question” Where Next?” and it became a source of inspiration and creation for all school children, as most of them are intrigued by space and passionate to uncover some of its mysteries. The younger ones wanted to show their talents in pictures, so PE- preparatory class, coordinated by Mrs. Marioara Gospodin and I B, coordinated by Mrs. Paraschiva Alecu, drew and painted images of the Universe, spaceships, astronauts, new planets, satellites. The third graders went further and classes 3C, coordinated by Mrs. Rodica Radu and teacher Adina Netedu, as well as their colleagues in 3D, supervised by the same teacher and Mrs. Victorița Chirică. Other students in classes 4B, helped by teacher Cristina Lomnoșanu and Mrs. Neli Dimancea and 4A, supervised by Mrs. Anca Medeșan, made posters with life in space and PUNs- play upon words, on the topic, debating issues such as overpopulation, pollution of the Earth, collonising other planets. Classes 5C, coordinated by teacher Cristina Lomnoșanu and 5D, coordinated by the teachers of English and French, Dorina Șacu and Veronica Hagi, gathered materials and information to make a book of Space, including facts, questions, pictures and personal opinions. Students in grades 6A, C, D coordinated by Mrs. Anca Moldoveanu and the ones in 6B, helped by Mrs. Dorina Foroglu, made models of the Solar System, made out of recycled materials and a Wall of Curiosities, with the most interesting facts they could find. Class 8 B, coordinated by teacher Adina Netedu made short stories and dialogues presenting other worlds.
