| Event Description: | Satellite from Trash competition is conducted to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on 15th October, UN has declared this day as World Student’s Day. This activity will be conducted for class 6th to 8th on 13th October, 2017 to celebrate World Student Day at Nellai Nadar Matric School, No. 3/590, Lakshmana Perumal Nagar, Tiruvanmiyur, Next To Tiruvanmiyur R T O, Kottivakkam, Chennai - 600041. In this activity, students have to make a model of the satellite from the trash (napkin paper, empty bottles, straws, ice cream sticks etc. Around 12 to 15 schools from Chennai will be participating in this competition. One team from each school with 3 to 5 members per team will be making a model of satellite. The students should explain about the model, its parts and purpose with a relevant name. |

| Report on the Results: | Satellite from trash was conducted on october 13th at Nellai Nadar Matriculation Higher Secondary School. Students from 10 schools participated in the competition.One team from each school with 3 to 5 members per team will be made a model of satellite. The students explained about the model, its parts and purpose with a relevant name. Every model was judged by SPACE team and the best three model making team were awarded with cash prizes and certificates. |
