| Event Description: | Each morning, decade+ by decade, students will learn about the highlighted achievements in Space flight from the 1950's to present. The activity will close with an inspirational quote highlighting the importance of education, perserverance,following your dream despite failure,determination etc. Day 1~ Students will be given a 2009 World Space Newsletter consisting of the weeks events. Students will watch a powerpoint presentation on the advancement of the space program over the years to music. On Tuesday, the 9& 12th grade students will watch October Sky, which was filmed in the time of 1957 when Sputnic 1 & 2 were launched. Each instructor being given questions to spark student discourse in many areas;space science,character, the positive influence a teacher can have on a student,working toward a goal, daring to dream etc. On Wednesday morning, October 7th at 9:30 DR.
