Event Description:  Come join Blackrock Castle Observatory in kicking off the start of Space Week in Ireland! 18:00 - 20:00 MakeSpace Have a chance to chat to some Cork second level students who are taking their learning to space: the Moonty1 team from Mayfield Community School who entered ESA s AstroPi competition last year. AND the PR team from Glanmire Community School who have a live chat to the International Space Station planned for later this year Drop in sessions in MakeSpace. This event would be more suitable to older children who already have an interest in space. 19:00     |    C?šIG: Exhibition Opening â€?Reach for the Stars’ – C??ig’s detailed drawing exhibition will be opened by Orla Flynn CIT Vice President For External Affairs during our Open Night.  Creativity Unlimited An Integrated Group (C??ig) are five artists with intellectual disabilities employed as artists in residence at Mayfield Arts Centre. 19:15 – 19:45    |    Pre-screening panel chat Meet our panel of astronomy buffs who speak about the impact the Voyager mission has had on them some from forty year old memories others in the making of The Farthest documentary.  All will explore how space exploration missions reflect humanities innate desire to further understand our Spectacular Universe. All events are free to attend and you will be able to pop in to events as they are happening. However registration is required for The Farthest screening.
