Event Name:  Space & Science Explorers Family Fun Night
Event Description:  For families with children ages 4 - 12* Tuesday, 6:00-8:00 pm Facilitator: Dr. Betsy Bannier, NASA Solar System Ambassador volunteer Cost: Free Event, Cash Concessions Registration Deadline: First 25 families to pre-register, will receive a free Space Book night of the event. We are excited to partner with the NASA Solar System Ambassadors volunteer program to bring Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) programming to youth 4 – 12 yrs. of age in a one evening event at the Center! There will be 12 activity stations related to space including a trivia area, make your own ice cream comets (Ice Cream provided by Purple Door Ice Cream for our comets), astronomy, planets, life on Mars, etc. Additionally, we are working with the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Wisconsin to determine if the program is eligible for girls who are working to achieve the NEW!!! Space Science Explorer Badge, Space Science Adventure Badge or Space Science Investigator Badge. For Cub Scouts, this program may fulfill a number of activities required for your “Out of this World: NOVA Award.” Girl Scouts & Boy Scouts call in September for more information. *Older and younger siblings welcome to attend!
