| Event Description: | To celebrate World Space Week, we will have a school-wide "Space Day." We will have designated classrooms decorated and in total darkness to simulate for the students the experience of being in outer space. Also, the students will have the hands on opportunity of building their own space ship. First, students will draw their design on paper and decide which materials to use from those that are provided. Once completed, the students will have an opportunity to test out the creations. When they are finished we will have a discussion time with the students asking them what was difficult in designing their own spaceship and what would they do differently next time. |
