Event Name:  GIS4Schools: Geospatial technology for climate change in secondary schools
Event Description:  In the frame of the World Space Week 2021 celebrations, the GIS4Schools project’s partner Eurisy is organizing the webinar “GIS4Schools: Geospatial technology for climate change in secondary schools”. The event will take place on October 8th, 2021, from 3 to 5 pm CET. The event aims at favouring the exchange on the status of STEAM learning in secondary schools, in relation with a topic as climate change and the contribution of space technology to understand its effects on the environment and society. The event will also introduce to the general audience the GIS4Schools project and its innovative approach to STEAM subjects, and space in schools in secondary schools, leveraging on space as a driver and source of inspiration for the future generations. The online conference intends to support the creation of a wide community of schools and education professional, space actors, and climate change experts. Furthermore, the event seeks to present the innovative aspects of the GIS4Schools project through hands-on examples and feedbacks from the schools involved in GIS4Schools.
