Event Description:  In November 2013 we should be able to see the majestic sight of Comet ISON in Earth’s skies. In 2014 our neighbouring planet Mars will experience a closer still encounter with Comet Siding Spring as it flies by the Red Planet. What are comets? Are they a threat to us here on Earth? Find out at Armagh Planetarium as we discover comets for World Space Week. This will be an interactive workshop where students will gain insightful knowledge into comets, see what comets are made from and how to identify them in the night sky. Students will also be treated to a digital theatre show in our 360 degree dome and have time to view our exhibit areas. Spaces are limited so please contact us on 028 37523689 to book your place.
