| Event Name: | Space Science Days |
| Event Description: | On October 4, 1957 the launch of Sputnik-1 marked the beginning of the Space Age. To commemorate the event IKI hosts the Space Science Days — an annual special event for space scientists, students, and everyone interested in space. In 2021 the Space Science Days are conducted within the frameworks of the Year of Science and Technology in Russia and dedicated to the 60th anniversary Yuri Gagarin flight — the first human breakthrough to space and is the part of the Science and Technology Year of Russian Federation. Program: * October 4: Scientific space of the XXI century: challenges, solutions, breakthroughs * October 5–8: "The Road to Space"launch first international conference on space education * October 9: IKI Doors Open Day The events will be livestreamed via IKI YouTube channel. Space Science Days are supported by the Russian Academy of Sciences, Roscosmos State Corporation, and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. |
