| Event Description: | In-person Starry Nights are returning for Fall 2021! Join us on Thursday, October 7th from 5:00-7:00pm. Girlstart’s STEM Studio and Mini-Planetarium is a unique space for families to explore astronomy! Starry Nights are held the first Thursday of every month (except January, June, July, and August), with each month featuring a new astronomy experience and related hands-on activities. Family members of all ages are welcome! Enjoy these hands-on STEM activities: • Build a telescope viewer and learn about International Observe the Moon Night • Calculate how high you could jump on the Moon • Explore circuits as you create an LED Moon phase night light • Investigate crater formation while playing with Moon sand |
