Event Description:  A series of activities will take place in various classrooms in STEM classes from elementary to middle schoo. The activities will focus on the importance of space exploration and the key role of women in these missions and in general scientific development.

Report on the Results:  Following this year’s theme of women in space, our 4th grade students read the book “Hidden Figures: The True Story of Four Black Women and the Space Race” and learned about the role of women in space exploration. The students then researched about the contributions of women in science, including those of the hidden figures presented in the book, and highlighted them during their group presentations.
