| Event Description: | The students imagine they and their family are astronauts on the ISS. They can only use the resources available. How would they adapt to the challenges and still keep doing important routines, like exercising, learning and making time for fun? They watch a video and discuss about it. Then they document about satellites(their importance or what was the first satellite in Space?How do satellites orbit Earth?or what are the parts of a satellite?). Finally, the students build their own satellite, trying to be the chief engineer for an important NASA mission.The hand -made satellite could help study things happening on Earth, take pictures of planets in our solar system, keep an eye on our sun, or even find planets elsewhere in the universe! |

| Report on the Results: | The children participated at this event for the first year. They started a journey on ISS watching a movie and discussing about life in space (wondering how astronauts can sleep, wash or go to the bathroom), searching for informations about satellites and building models of Earth artificial satellites. They were enthusiastic, wishing to participate again next year. |
