| Event Description: | To mark this special week in the calendar, the Methodist Preschool Services Pte Ltd (MPSPL) is partnering with the Space Faculty from the Singapore Space and Technology Ltd (SSTL) to organise a unique learning experience for our K2 children in school on Thursday, 6 October 2022 from 9.00 am – 10.00 am. We have invited Astronaut Ms Naoko Yamazaki (picture above) to speak to our children about her experiences via a live Zoom call from Japan. Naoko Yamazaki is an engineer and retired former astronaut at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). She is the second Japanese woman to go into space. She had participated in the STS-131 mission aboard Space Shuttle Endeavour in 2010. Ms Naoko Yamazaki will also be engaging our children in a short Question and Answer session during the event. |
