| Event Description: | 20th Reinventing Space Conference – Liverpool, UK Wednesday 11th – Friday 13th October 2023 Organised by the British Interplanetary Society, Reinventing Space is a conference and exhibition dedicated to advancing humanity’s future capabilities in space and highlights the trends that will define space enterprise a decade from now. Each year, the conference brings together a network of innovators from industry, agency, government, financiers, academia and end users to present and discuss the key challenges and opportunities for future space leadership and growth. – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – This year’s conference will be held in Liverpool, UK. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘The Evolving Architecture of NewSpace’ and will focus on the key benefits and emerging issues presented by the increasing use of space in the coming decades. As the number of active satellites in Earth orbit increases, the opportunities for interaction between different constellations are enhanced. Intersatellite links and roaming technologies should deliver improvements in a range of performance metrics, including satellite-to-satellite cueing, data fusion, data latency, and overall system capacity. Will new, cheaper launch vehicles and on-orbit servicing add to the pressure? Will the huge number of satellites increase the risk of collisions and further restrict astronomical observations? Can NewSpace companies provide the answers? |
