| Report on the Results: | My students used ppt presentations to present scientific data and images found in books and websites about the Asteroid Belt. The presentations made were attractive and generated heated discussions. There has been intense discussion of incidents depicted in science fiction films showing that an asteroid belt poses great problems for traversal, with spaceships having difficulty finding a way through them. Bringing scientific evidence (public statistics or public articles), the students argued that in reality the asteroids that make up the belt are so rare that the missions that crossed this area did not need special routes to avoid them, nor were any incidents recorded . The known composition of asteroids was presented. Numerous images of asteroids were presented. The activity was interesting and beneficial by developing problem-solving learning skills.. |
