| Event Description: | Astara Ganesha is a biennial event organized by Himastron ITB to celebrate World Space Week and spread the knowledge of astronomy to the Indonesian community, especially high school students. This year, Astara Ganesha's schedule is divided into two parts: the pre-event (July 17th - August 20th, 2023) and the main event (September 11th - October 1st, 2023). The pre-event consists of various competitions that contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of Astara Ganesha. These competitions include poster making, article writing, creating short videos, image processing, and astrophotography. On the other hand, the main event features a high school level astronomy olympiad, as well as seminars and astronomy exhibitions for the public. The aim is to engage participants in various exciting activities and promote astronomy among the younger generation in Indonesia. |
