Description: JWA has embarked on an exciting journey to celebrate World Space Week! From Oct 8 to Oct 12, 2023, we have planned an array of activities that will inspire the imagination of the students and ignite their curiosity about the wonders of space. Suggested Event Schedule – Teachers are given the freedom to shift the order of activities during their sessions. Day 1 - Painting Contest Location: [Art Room] Description: Express your artistic talent and love for space by participating in our Painting Contest. Grab your brushes and let your creativity soar as you create breathtaking artwork inspired by the cosmos. Day 2 - Space Quiz Challenge Location: [Social Studies Session] Description: Test your space knowledge and compete against fellow space enthusiasts in our thrilling Space Quiz Challenge., including feel the surface challenge, draw a spaceship first, find the astronaut, and answer the quiz. From celestial bodies to space missions, this contest will put your space expertise to the ultimate test. Day 3 & 4 - Running Debates and VR Space Exploration Location: [English, Arabic & Science Sessions] Description: Engage in lively discussions and hone your debating skills as we host an exciting session of Running Debates focusing on space-related topics. After the debates, get ready to embark on a virtual reality journey through space, where you can explore distant planets, walk on the moon, and experience the vastness of the universe like never before. Day 5 - Writing Arguments and designing Spaceship models Location: [English & Arabic Sessions] Description: Sharpen your writing skills and delve into the world of space exploration through our Writing Arguments competition. Craft persuasive arguments, share your thoughts, and make compelling cases for the future of space exploration. In designing spaceship models, participants have the opportunity to design and build their own spaceship models using various materials and tools. Whether they’re inspired by classic science fiction or have unique ideas for innovative propulsion systems, this activity allows them to express their creativity while exploring the possibilities of space travel. |

It was an incredible week filled with enthusiasm, creativity, and a shared passion for space exploration. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, organizers, and attendees who made this event a resounding success. Painting Activities The students showcased their artistic talents, which beautifully captured the wonders of space through their artwork. Writing Arguments: Writing Arguments provided a platform for students to express their thoughts and make compelling cases for the future of space exploration. Our teachers carefully reviewed the submissions and were impressed by the quality of the arguments presented. Running Debates: The Running Debates session was a vibrant exchange of ideas and opinions on space-related topics. Participants displayed exceptional debating skills and made compelling arguments. We applaud all the students for their outstanding performance. Space Quiz Challenge: The Space Quiz Challenge tested the participants' knowledge of space exploration, celestial bodies, and significant space missions. The competition was fierce, and engaging. Virtual Reality Space Exploration: The Virtual Reality Space Exploration session provided an immersive experience, allowing participants to explore the wonders of space through cutting-edge technology. The virtual journeys through distant planets and cosmic landscapes left everyone awe-inspired. Designing Spaceship models: Students learned about the fundamental principles of spacecraft design. The students had the opportunity to collaborate with fellow participants, exchange ideas, and learn from each other's creativity. Special performances and reflections on the incredible journey we had during World Space Week made it an emotional and inspiring event.
